According to a Previous Prediction, The United States & the Soviet Union would go into World War III. That didn't come true unless you call the Cold War, WWIII.

Now according to President Bush, There is a possibility that the U.S. & Allies would declare World War III on Iran because of It's Nuclear Program.

There's now a poll open for voting so you can agree which country would cause World War III or You can Agree that World War III will never happen. Your vote may or may not help change the course of History(I doubt it though...).

The Doomsday Clock currently stands at 5 minutes to midnight and you're missing A LOT of other options there to as who could trigger WW3

USA/North Korea
USA/China
India/Pakistan
Israel/Every Arab Nation in the world that hates them

In any case there may be a WW3, but unfortunately it won't be nearly as cool as you see in the movies.

If it's anyone, I think it will be North Korea, those mother fuckers are advanced.

It won't be called World War III, but I think eventually when our population grows to the point where we simply cannot sustain ourselves, massive war will break out between poorer nations and richer nations.

I remember during the 80s they had a couple of made for TV movies that tried to portray a realistic aftermath of a nuclear war. One was called “The Day After” and the other was called “Threads”.

The Day After was almost like a predecessor to that show Jericho, (Is that still on?) but of course the situation was a lot worse. It was okay, I remember the next day in school we were all talking about how "cool" it was when the nuclear explosions occurred.

Threads was set in England and incredibly gritty. The whole tone is more like “Children of Men” but like 5 times more miserable. It follows life over a course of about 10 years after the nukes hit and it just remains really bleak throughout. It was better than The Day After.

I liked the Day After, so I should definitely see this threads...

Jericho was cancelled after the first season but has been promised a return in the future due to overwhelming viewer emails. It started out alright but wasnt as realistic as it should have been presented. The CBS network was one of three networks that aired a nuclear device detonating on American soil last year and received alot of flack over it (along with 24 on Fox).I remember the day after,it was a made for tv movie that really sucked,Jericho wasnt too far behind it.

If people are around long enough, there will probably eventually be another large-scale war.

There will never be a World War III... because after World War Z there won't be enough of us left to go to war.

Remember, aim for the head. It's the only way.

I tried to like that show. I think they did half of a second season, I saw it advertised for a while and then it just disappeared. The problem was three-fold with that show; a lot of the actors did lousy jobs, many of the situations were comnpletely unrealistic, and there were so many fucking loop holes in the story lines that it was aggrivating.

It really sucks too, cause there is probably no way anyone else is going to try and cover that genre on TV for years because of the failure of this one.

I am in the same boat with you on this one DEP;it had all the potential to be an awesome show if they had stayed true to the situation they themselves presented. It started out decent but just slowly spiraled into a fucking stupid soap opera that wasnt very good even as far as soap operas go.I think they got scared when they began to contemplate the utter bleakness the fallout of a nuclear explosion presents to a situational drama, you see after a nuclear war happy endings are hard to even imagine...I think the insane fanbase response from its cancellation scared them even more.

I believe Iran, Russia, China & North Korea would go to war with the U.S.

Putin's gonna get so pissed off with the U.S. that he might threaten the U.S. a Second Cold War, Iran's gonna create a Nuclear weapon, U.S. & other countries affected by Recalls on objects made in China stop letting China importing stuff into those countries & China gets pissed because of it & Kim Jong il sends the North Korean Air Force to attack the U.S. Pearl Harbor style.

I believe this would cause World War III.

Not too bad a theory... Why didn't you include these countries on your poll?

I doubt the lead-based paint on some Chinese imports and the differing beliefs of the US and Russian administrations are even an indirect threat to war. Contributing factors, maybe, but there's just not enough else on the table to justify the kind of action you're talking about. Russia and the PRC have both been on much friendlier terms with the US in recent decades than they historically have been. Even if the will to fight was there, there would be scant support and much opposition from the rest of the world, and in any case such a conflict would result in untold loss of life and at best mutual destruction. The North Korean Air Force is hardly the threat you seem to make it out to be. Iran is probably the best candidate for any kind of conflict (though if it does happen they likely won't be the aggressors), but even in that event I just don't see another world war on the immediate horizon.

If people are around long enough it'll probably happen someday as they just can't seem to stop resorting to violence at the drop of a hat for whatever reason, and it doesn't look like much of the economic stupidity, blind hatred, culture conflict and wanton disregard for human life will abate anytime soon, but don't look into that bomb shelter just yet.

That's what the Other option is for.

Which Transformers continuity are we talking here? I have full faith in Unicron's ability to seriously fuck everything over before he is defeated.

That's what the Other option is for.

So you expected "other" to win? That just doesn't make sense Megaman. "Other" should be used as a catch all for answers that you couldn't think of. "Other" is generally the loser in polls for that reason. By presenting us with two or three options and one "other" you are streamlining results and your entire poll is skewed.
