I know I should've asked this when I return but I missed reading old posts on here.
I was like, "What the heck is going on? Did they change the forums?".
Anyway, Anybody know where the old forums went?

They're gone like the Dodo.
I'd like to see some of my old rantings, too.

No, no- this still is the old forum. It just happens to have gotten that serious-hardcore of an overhaul. The code started getting buggy, and so the forums got a visual makeover along with the code rewrites. I mean, it's not like this is a vBulletin forum or anything...

Great.
But the old postings are gone.

I don't think this overhaul is ever going to be finished. Sorta like that big hole in the middle of Manhattan that they keep talking about doing something with.

Much murmured agreement.

This is NOT the old forums. This is a completely different forum (new program and started from scratch). Severenz said he would most likely keep the old forum up, but locked (so no adding new posts), for looking through old posts, but that may have been passed over when doing all his work on the remodel of the main site. I am sure it is still there somewhere, even if just archived on his home server or something, but who knows if you guys will ever have access to it again. Personally, I don't care. Although there was a lot of amusing stuff there, I never really read old posts.

Apparently, I'm too subtle. What a scary thought.

Probably some of the more amusing threads on the old forums (in no particular order) were…
The infamous Old Man Higgins thread
The thread where KAG said he pretended to be a 40 year old internet stalker and nearly got arrested by the girl he was harassing.
The thread where NCPolice totally lost it and went off on Futurecast.
The thread where Megaman was demanding that everyone stop swearing and everyone just flamed him even more.
The “Ring” thread where I made up a bunch of weird phone calls and then Shannon K. mentioned she got a dirty phone call in real life once and it made her cry for an hour. (My part was funny, Shannon’s was just a bit odd. Why would you stay on the phone long enough to get that upset?)
The thread where Duke was called on his plagiarism of Legend and shamed into proper submission to take it down.
The thread where Apoth and Ves were talking about doing each other and then somehow Usoki and his parents got involved in this virtual orgy. (And I think some farm animals were mentioned as well)
Any thread where Chubby and Jeff were having a “disagreement” (Drunk or sober)
Any thread where DEP and Yazz were having a “disagreement”
Any thread where me and Michael were having a “disagreement”
Any thread where everyone verbally abused Drums for his child sex robot obsession.

Hmmm...yeah, I don't remember how I wound up in that thread either. But in my defense, it's really hard to get farm animals down those stairs. Goats just aren't satisfying, and the larger the animal gets, the more you wonder if the effort is really worth it.

What about my fucked up threads? Don't they get a mention at all?

Yeah but you’re still here making your weird random threads, so there’s no point in mentioning them. Most of those were one time threads or flaming between various people. It’s why I didn’t mention Chubby’s rantings, he’s still here to get drunk and make ranting threads at any given time.

As a highlight to one of the better disagreements between Yazz and I; he announced his love for the Goo Goo Dolls and I regretfully informed him that they were gay. He denied this and I had to clarify just how gay they were.
"The Goo Goo Dolls are gayer than a shit smeared condom."
I went on to elaborate that "The Goo Goo Dolls are gayer than Freddy Mercury and Elton John wearing pink spandex leotards while grinding up against each other on the roller rink floor as the village people blast from teh juke box."
It was one of my finer moments.

I REMEMBER THAT!
Except I think you said that to homerpython.
Still, a great moment in "Old Forum Lore"
Had me a good laugh.
There was also the time Michael and I were debating alcoholic beverages. When he said he drank watermelon smirnoffs I asked him, "What do you smoke? Lemme guess: Virginia Slims"

Yeah he said that to Yazz. He also pointed out how Yazz was severely wrong about Green Day being the pioneers of Punk music.
Jeff liked the Goo Goo Dolls too, but I remember Jeff saying he liked Korn better. I forgot what the remark was for that one, but I'm pretty sure DEP said his musical tastes sucked as well.

Oh yeah! The Watermelon Smirnoff debate was great. Funny shit. Especially because he's like 6 foot 2 and well over 300lbs and drinking Watermelon Smirnoff's.
