I mean a winner. He won the yearly contest over at Choose your story with his story Necromancer - an easy win for him to be honest.
Figured I'd congratulate him on his own turf here - I know he's too proud to toot his own horn.

Someone once asked me, "What do you win from these online writing contests?"

When I said bragging rights (speaking about the IS contest), they looked at me like I was some sort of freak. Apparently most of the world is only motivated by cash prizes these days.

Not sure what that had to do with anything, but, congrats End. You are a wiener!

Ah yes, the words of a warrior. I know them well.

Sure it's nice to pillage the land and gain the fat loot. But really how can mere coin satisfy sheer joy of driving your dark sword through a hated enemy's heart and looking into his eyes right before he dies?

To laugh as his woman feebly attempts to help him, only to get a fist to the face from your spiked gauntlet, wrecking her beauty in an instant, and snuffing out her life just as quickly when you snap her neck and throw her useless body across the room.

The sense of ultimate victory when hear the whimpering of his spawn in the corner watching helplessly and taking great pleasure in ending this whole bloodline for good with your high powered gauss rifle.

To KNOW that you've taken away everything these people are, were and ever will be.

That you've crushed opposition mercilessly and lived to brag about it, because after all is said and done, ALL that matters is that you've survived another day and they didn't.




Okay so that didn't really happen, but maybe it did in an alternate reality or something...

Congrats, EndMaster. Necromancer does rock it out. It's nowhere near your best work though.

Wait, so over at CYS you get actual, real money? Or is that like Monopoly money that's good only for bragging rights? (Though at the rate the dollar's at, maybe Monopoly money would be the better currency...)
