What a crazy world.

It's a small world. I think that's my only point.

Something's gotta give here soon, though. This whole human civilization is all wrong. Thank God I don't have any kids.

Care to expand on that one? All wrong how, exactly?

Didn’t realize until yesterday that the New Life Church was the one that Ted Haggard guy founded. Hasn’t been a very good couple years for them it seems.

They certainly got some skilled security guards there though. She killed the gunman before he could kill a bunch of other people. "Warrior of God" indeed.

EDIT: Oh, no wonder, she was an ex-cop. I figured she was just some semi-survivalist fundy. (Though she could be that too)

All wrong because I'm not Supreme Ruler.

I'm just so God damn predictable. I need to spice it up!

There is only one answer to all of the worlds problems: EUGENICS!

And I'm not talking about that blonde-haired blue eyed bullshit, Hitler was an idiot. Don't connect what I'm saying to him because that is incredibly narrow minded.

What I'm saying is in every new child, we select specific genes that will make them more suitable for survival, that way we can evolve in a matter of years rather than over the course of millennia. Then, with our new society of super intelligent, super wise, super altruistic (we will eliminate mean genes as well) and super selfless individuals, there will be no stopping us. Also, we have to many people. 6 billion is way to many, robots can do many of the jobs that the bottom 90% of that group can do with much greater efficiency. In fact, with time, robots will be better at all jobs than humans, so we just need... at most 300 million lazy rich assholes with super genes who will just chill while robots do all the work.

The end.

Cheer up, Chubby! I have some good news for you. I read in the paper today that crack dealers will now be receiving the same jail time as plain old coke dealers. No more discrimination against crackheads! I thought you and the United Crack Dealers of America would be very pleased with this Supreme Court ruling.

That’s mighty optimistic of you Apoth.

In a millennia, at best we’ll have more space gadgets, be genetically superior to what past humans were and beating up on some alien race instead of each other.

You can do all the genetic enhancement you want, but you’re not going to be able to weed out the asshole nature of humanity.

And having robots do all our work sort of defeats the purpose of being genetically enhanced for survival.

If we have robots do everything for us, we’re going to get soft and weak and most likely decadent. I mean sure we’re born with an “advantage”. But that advantage is no good unless it’s being used in someway. Muscles atrophy, skills aren't utilized and forgotten, etc.

We could retain our genetically enhanced intelligence I suppose, but again if we got robots to do everything eventually we’re going to get intellectually lazy as well and not bother thinking, since a computer does it all for us.

Here’s another example.
Giant Central Control Machine breaks.
Robots stop working.
Who’s going to fix it?
Gee I dunno, they always just worked before!
Panic! Gah! No!
Civilization collapses.
The End.

This isn’t even bringing up the other possibility of robots gaining sentience and just deciding they don’t really need us sponging.

So unless we’ve found a way to download “ourselves” into these robots, (Now THAT would be cool) it’s probably a bad idea to have robots/computers do everything for us.

Obviously robots and computers have their place though.

No problem, ChubChub. I hate to see a teletubby as cute as you get so depressed.
