View Full Version : The Ballad of March the Fifth

There seem to be a couple people here. Let's go a few rounds. Here's several stanzas to start us off; add two to four lines each. Please keep it coherent and refrain from doing anything overpowered. Rhyme scheme is whatever you like; try to keep it flowing though.
The Ballad of March the Fifth
All the stories said and done, the members gathered in the field
The red of battle in their eyes, reflected in the shining steel of weapons
Cold and ready-forged for conflict on the morrow day
They sang war songs and drank, and vowed that soon their enemies would pay
Severenz stood tall and strong atop his mighty steed, Dominion
Exhorting, shouting, urging gallant-minded pawns and minions to the field
A vile place, the space in which the demon March the Fifth would soon appear
With our rivals, foreign gamers we the loyalists detested, loathed and feared
Usoki, small and shriveled though
He was, had mastered shooting with the bow. Wise Endmaster summoned,
With his mighty brain, all the fiercest fighting writers from the golden days of yore
Apoth swayed drunken in the saddle, recovering from time spent with a whore
They gathered, even DEP, who for a horse was much too large
Sev pointed with his mighty blade; he spurred his steed and hollered "Charge!"
.

Katie stood by the wayside, cheering the warriors on
Though it was clear to anyone watching, MRH would rather her in bed.
Ves, not one for subtlety, ignored the rules of yore
For she stole a horse and armor, and galloped straight ahead.

A small Meowth set up his crosbow, Upon the grassy knoll
He woldst take out their leader, if Specter didn't first.
Serenity was feirce and bold, no woman was like she
Her hatred of the enemy, no one knew much worse.
Hidden underneath his bed, scared of all the fuss
A small fox boy called Shippo, prayed, begged, for his life.
The local Medic, Psy, though his licence was revoked
Steeled himself for battle, sharpening his knife.

As Bulb observed his friend's demise, his burnt-out brain finaly snaps,
he chases down MRH and kills his horse with one vine-whip crack.
As the tyrant MRH falls down, Bulb's brain seems still to be broke,
He charges at the bastard, he would kill that bloke.
Kurt has seen however, his employer's survival chances are quite narrow,
Aiming at that bulbasaur, he shoots him with an arrow.
Whist all this was happening, Leblanc the Lucid sat,
Under the speading chestnut tree, throwing chestnuts in his hat.
The spirit which dwells with in him, keeps him out of harm,
As Ling Ling run's towards him and bites him on the arm.
The spirit rose with in him, and with one, and with a mighty roar,
The unholy energy struck Ling-Ling, and then he was no more.

March the Fifth sat on his horse, looking quite confused
For he could see no reason why a CYS/IS battle should ensue.
Standing by, old JJJ, was looking quite bemused-
His loyalty had changed yet again; his friends he now pursued.
Though the war was not his to start, it would be his to win,
Or so he though, sitting there, with a large number of his kin.
It was true they had numbers to make Apoth drown in his drools,
But these numbers had no quality; the whole lot of them were fools.

Not knowing why Usoki thinks in bed I'd Katie lain,
I nonetheless watch as Vesnicie pulls on the rein
Of some bold steed which she has taken, into battle charged -
I wonder whose manhood she'll cleave once she has it enlarged.
Yeah... there's no way that whole Katie-Michael thing would happen. You may think that our conflicts rise from sexual tension because we have different anatomical features. I can't reassure anyone enough that's not the case here. There will be no trees for us. No k-i-s-s-i-n-g. And absolutely no beds. I need a shower.
Also... Michael, I like how you made Ves seem like a dominatrix with her reins and steed and abuse of manhood.
Battle lost or battle won, never seemed to matter.
They say our hero died that day,
Fallen; wounded in the fray,
The ground drank his blood's splatter.
And a tree grew where he lay,
A tribute to his noble deeds,
Filling our spiritual needs.
A place for us to go to pray.
And there I saw Thoric, Locke and Ves
Standing by Sir JJJ's side, paying some respect
While Drag and End and Apoth took time to reflect.
Now we stood in peaceful thoughts surrounded by our mess.
And there are tales left to tell,
Of bravery and vice, of villainy and honor
And if you want to listen a spell
Gather at Vixen Manor.
We'll take that walk down memory lane,
Discuss youth's lost valor.
We'll get End from his tower,
And remember March the CYS bane.
Drink a glass to March the Fifth
Whenever you pass a tree
Tip one back with our friend Chubby,
His wondrous life is no child's myth.
Here here, drink up to March the Fifth.

Just imagine this one between Usoki and Katie:
Ves stood awhile, alone by the grave
Wond’ring if time could be reversed
He took my heart, the heartless knave!
March’s name she roundly cursed
For long ago, unbeknownst to all
To her chambers did he with banjo steal
Fair love song was his sweetest call
He told her of passions that he did feel
But on the horizon war rose like a ghost
And so did March, fade away into dawn
In her cold bed, said she, “I hate you the most”
It’s just as well, now you’re forever gone
That is how Ves, with armor a’blazing
Took the charge against the great foe
With a wrath and vigor truly amazing
He could not live, no one could ever know

Katie stood by the wayside, cheering the warriors on
Though it was clear to anyone watching, MRH would rather her in bed.
My intent was to show that MRH was a womanizer. It wasn't actually going to happen. I was assuming that everyone knew Katie hates MRH with a burning passion- hence why she's on the sidelines, not in bed. (I don't think she'd be in bed for anyone, except maybe End, but that's not the point.) The point was that Katie, the most peaceful of us all, is cheering us on without actually fighting, and that MRH is really horny. That's all I was trying to say.

Usoki,
don't worry, I didn't really think you meant anything by it. But I thought I would establish some boundaries before you-know-who got any ideas.
I'm the peaceful one? hehe, I feel suddenly like a Care Bear just becoming aware that she is in the midst of rabid wolves.

Hey guys! Look at that tasty fat little care bear over there!

Actually on your last visit here you really were coming off as ultra horny, since you were flirting with Katie, Ves, and stating that you were marrying cartoon characters online (To which Usoki amusingly said "Whoopee! Who cares?"), along with posting said characters and saying how hot they were. (Geez, man they're 2-dimensional!)
Then you also said you were addicted to masturbation and porn.
We all had a good laugh at this stuff for a long time, so it's another image thing you'll have to work off a bit.

That, and, for the purposes of the poem, you couldn't flirt with Ves because she was headed into battle. And since you don't remember Katie and she hates you, neither of you were supposed to take that line seriously.
(Red Monika is still ugly and squish-faced)

Why is there a ballad for March 5th anyway? The guy disappeared. He hasn't even been on the CYS forums for awhile.

Yes, that's it in a nutshell. We have periodically butted heads with chooseyourstory.com. In some sort of peace mission, a few of the guys from CYS came over here and livened up the forums for awhile. Their leader was a charming but no doubt conniving fellow by the name of March5th00.

March5th00 might have been insane or on drugs. He complimented me several times via "PM"ing me

Shippo: I've got two legs from my hips to the ground... and when I move 'em they walk around!

Suki: Hmmm, Lincoln eh? Anyone wanna buy his skeleton? I'll sell it for only $5000... Don't ask me how I got it... It's real... Mr. Psy appraised it for me.

Cut the crap, assholes. Unless you've got a stanza to add to the Ballad of March the Fifth, shut the fuck up. This is like snotty congestion in the IS respiratory system.

And after the dust was gone, all that stood was a Man, a fox-deamon and a Sneezle
The man was cool, the fox insane, and the sneezle really evil.
Ves came back to yell at them, but by then it was too late, for death is swift... damn Iacane powder.
