New Avatar

So I've been thinking... I need to get an avatar. I've held off long enough! As you all know, however, this decision is not to be taken lightly. An avatar is what defines a man (or woman, in the cases of Cat and Katie): End Master is the faceless entity, Usoki is the plant, Locke is a lock, and donteatpoop is either a dog or a pile of shit (both have been in all his avatars that come to mind, so I'm not sure which).

But what am I?

If my name was still "YazZMaN", the decision would be easy. But since my return, I've pretty much been reborn, for all intents and purposes. Any thoughts?

I'm also kinda regretting using my boring real name on here. Hopefully someday, I'll able to change it to something cooler... Like Karold or something.

Speaking of distracting, your new avatar's moving around too damn much, change your avatar back to that plant/bear thing.

The only other avatars I remember Ryan having were a few zombie ones (Which scared some girl on the site at the time), and saying he liked stuff with skulls on it. Though he might've outgrown the whole "death is cool" phase of his life.

I don't know, End... On one hand, Sweet Tooth was cool-looking, and I'm sure the old-timers still think of me as the crazy clown, but... It bothers me that my name isn't YazZ. And I haven't been in any flame wars for a while; what's up with that? I just don't really feel like a psycho clown anymore.

Usoki, I don't mind the new avatar, but I definitely liked your previous one better... I might sound like a total hypocrite for saying this, but... It was happier and more colorful (and thus, superior).

Oh, by all means, I don't plan on permanently changing my avatar anytime soon. But that doesn't mean I can't have fun while I can. It's not often that this sort of thing is actually topical.

This one might become permanent. My only regret with it is that the character is probably too specific... If I could change my name to "Waldo", it might work better, but oh well. I'll see if something better comes along.

Yeah, I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of this one, Ryan. You don't have a single personality trait in common with the Waldo I've always invisioned. Withdrawn, reclusive, shy, anti-social... intelligent(he can hide wearing that?), a bit quirky(stripes?)- probably impatient with the world at large, or why else would he hide from it? Bit of a pessimist.

Meanwhile, you're the bubbly outgoing social nice guy of wisdom. Maybe a bit quirky, but they're different quirks, so my point stands.

Oddly, that one still has a lot of movement, but it doesn't bother me like the other one did. Maybe because it isn't twirling around. I'd just keep the little wizard guy though.

I just remembered, Ryan briefly had another avatar when he was really pissed off at Michael. He took Michael's avatar and "raped" it by putting a bunch of dicks in its mouth and around its head.

Yeah... but I'd have to separate Brian from Black Mage panel by panel... Which probably isn't much work in the long run, but I'm lazy. I'm guessing it's not as distracting because the bulk of the avatar stays in one place. The peach is distracting because it moves rapidly up and down as it melts.

Usoki: Heh, it's interesting hearing what people think I'm like in real life! I do identify with Waldo, though -- I don't like staying in one place for a long time, I'm fairly introverted sometimes, and Waldo is just a cool guy (like me).

Yeah it was the same girl who was really creeped out by your zombie avatars, so I took part of her avatar and edited into mine claiming I did it to protect her from the zombies.

Pretty much explains why she stopped coming around here.

I didn't think Waldo was really socially inept since he had at least had a girlfriend called Wenda or something.

It was only half intentional. I wrote the comment, thinking that Waldo would have to be intelligent, since he's carrying around a huge stack of literature in one of the first books. Then I realized that by doing so, I was calling you stupid by comparison. I considered changing it, but thought it too good to pass up. It's not like you were going to actually be offended. That's probably one of the mildest insults this site has seen.

The site I found it on had it labeled as a 'man encased in ice' photo... but the more I look at it, the more it looks like a guy trapped in a dress shirt box. It explains the banner across the front, and the odd position of his arms.

I know you'll be disappointed, Usoki, but I just don't really identify myself with "bubbly" or "overly-social" people. Maybe I'm delusional when it comes to myself? I don't know. I'd like to use a cool politcal figure, but the only ones I can think of who really stood for anything good are Ghandi, Jesus (if he existed), and Einstein -- and they wouldn't be unique.

For better or for worse, it has to be one of these five, I think.

Sweet Tooth or Waldo are fine with me. I prefer Sweet Tooth for obvious reasons though.

Usoki still needs to go back to that plant/bear thing. The trapped in ice guy and his current giraffe avatar are hideous looking.

While we're at it, Apoth should go back to his Hydrolisk avatar, mainly because I can't draw a damn sandwich properly in MS Paint.

That's...wow. What is the giraffe doing there? Is he barfing pea soup, or is that some sort of mutant mouth lazer? Maybe toxic breath lines? The forehead tattoo is a nice touch- though putting pupils in the eyes seems like a set backwards. Especially since there are no angry eyebrows. Angry eyebrows make everything better.

I am fond of this current one. It's a tempting switch, but in the end I have username recognition with the Deku Shrub, and I'm hesitant to throw that away. After all, I'm a few months shy of my four year mark (!) and I've been using the same avatar all this time. It's close to representing the Usoki translation without being the translation.

That's... a very odd avatar, End. It just doesn't feel like 'you'. The background is nifty, but the silhouette is very odd- what with the dress, hip accents, and shoulder pads.

...Seriously, four years? Cripes! Rentyre is three and a half years old. I have accomplished nothing since leaving high school. Pathetic.

Lol, its supposed to be a wasteland warrior type (from Fallout) wearing patchwork armor which makes the silhouette odd looking. I think a few people though the character had a fake "shark fin" on his back for awhile.

I mentioned this in another thread but I had the best Where's Waldo dream last night. The first I've ever had, actually, even though I loved the books as a kid.

I was immersed in this Where's Waldo? world. It was insane. I wasn't sure if I was Waldo or not, I was just locked in this crazy city where every person was doing something interesting and we were all part of some greater tapestry. Locked in some moment. but the moment turned into moments. It was living yet sometimes it would freeze frame and I could see it from a distance in all of it's glory.

it eventually degenerated into a sex dream, but it was like one of the best sex dreams ever. I wont disgust you with the details, but I totally came all over this girl like a fucking fire hydrant. it was almost disgusting but so fucking great at the same time.
