The Dumbest Thing I Have Ever Done

I'm not going to have shots of liquor anymore. The reason being, they are far to appealing and once I start I cannot stop. Case and point, saturday night. I was having a reunion with the kids I went hiking with for orientation, and did a double shot of tequila. I then proceeded to take six shots of vodka and then drank a beer. At this point I was fairly buzzed and I went with this other kid to get his bottle of vodka. We brought it back and I took 7 shots of that. At this point I blacked out. The only memory I have from the next 8 hours was a brief moment where I could not walk, I could not see (alcohol induced blindness) and I could feel hands all over me and I could hear my JA's voice and was vomiting profusely. I guess what happened was I was found by a friend wandering aimlessly in a tent party. He realized my condition was not very good and took me outside when my vomiting started. It took a group of people to carry me to a car, then drive me with my head out the window back to the dorms and then carry me up the stairs into my room where I vomited for most of the night. I woke up at 7am on the floor, went to sleep for a few more hours and then had my entry mates fill me in on the story. Apparently my eyes were rolling in the back of my head and I kept vomiting and they were worried at one point I wouldn't make it. I don't know if I had more shots when I was blacked out but I could have quite possibly made it to twenty. The morning after I threw up many times, felt sick the rest of the day, and still have a headache today, two days after. I did the math and I think my BAC was at least .33 but could have potentially been as high as .4. I'm not really sure why I had that much. Never doing that again.

Moral of the story. I was an idiot and to ensure that it will never happen again I'm going to avoid hard liquor until I learn how to control myself when I am in a drunken state.

Call the hospital if this is your alcohol level. You are probably close to a coma or death.

Easily the dumbest thing I have ever done. Hands down, no question about it it. Nothing even comes close to the stupidity of Saturday night. I think it could be classified as para-suicidal.

I still congratulate you, however, on successfully blacking out. That was indeed the next step on your quest towards alcoholism. However, in the interest of your longevity, the next step is not to get even drunker, but rather to see what kind of crazy shit you can pull while in this state.

Funny you should say that. What the party was originally suppose to be was us just getting together to eat a Vermonster. I'm lactose-intolerant so I suggested instead of burning sixty or so bucks on that stuff, we just get a bunch of liquor. Everyone in my group that that was a great idea..... and this is what happened. I can't do the chocolate sundae thing.... so I figured this was an equal substitution. I ended up getting as sick as I would have had I eaten the Vermonster....

Also, this thread was not self serving, I was just relating a story. It's also a warning to any kids out there who get any bright ideas that all 145 pounds of them can withstand any quantity of booze....

I must say, Apoth, I was disappointed by the lack of embarrassment you received. It's not a good drunken night unless after you get completely smeeshed, you then go on to make a complete arse of yourself by doing things you really, really shouldn't.

Like getting off with ugly people.
Or lying on a flight of stairs singing showtunes.
Or attempting to kiss guys.
Or telling a girl three years your senior that you really like her, in her otherwise empty room, while she has a boyfriend.
Or accusing some guy you kinda know of fancying you, and never actually being sure if he's gay or not.
Or spending half an hour in someone's toilet taking a massive shit, then filling the toilet bowl to the brim with toilet paper, then washing your hands and not flushing, then opening the door to the owner of the toilet, who then comes in and cleans up the mess you've made.

KAG, what you fail to realize is I was to drunk to walk or see. I guess I did manage to hit on a girl 2 years my senior who has a boyfriend though in between vomiting and seizures... if what everyone tells me is true.

Be careful when drinking apoth, you could very well have died of alcohol poisoning. I passed out in a similar condition once and never drank so much in one sitting again.

Don't forget the blood alcohol calculations need to also take into account your size and what you ate for the day.

I put in my weight.... all 145 pounds..... and I had a pretty empty stomach at the time....

I'm definitely never doing that again.
