I just went live with the following changes:
- room nickname is no longer forced to all lower case
- room nickname can now be up to 64 characters (from 20)
- Room link field is now a select/dropdown and shows the nicknames alphabetically at the top, and then the rooms without nicknames below.
Nickname is still optional but an argument could be made to make it required and bring it up on the form considering it can be very helpful.
Also, keep in mind that for large stories, this dropdown will now be big, which is why I initially had the autocomplete/search functionality.
