That's why I hate you.
That goes for everyone here. Especially DEP.
Ves just needs a hug and morphine.
Mostly just morphine. And a nice plot.

I refuse to believe that you can pronounce, define, and spell all of those words with 100% confidence without any reference to a dictionary, thesaurus, or any other possible source one might use.
And, if you can, then I ponder your grasp of history, science, and math.

If I weren't high on opiates right now, I would be vexed.
That cretin Sven never even acknowledged that I responded to his risible little inquiry. In order to obviate the appearance of my fundamentally saturnine and irascible nature, I am obliged to imbibe. Thank the serendipitous junks questing about upon the moist effluvium of Eastern crepuscule that I drift now into nascent mollification.Last edited by Vesnic; 11-05-2011, 01:48 PM.

I have words I say but have to look up to spell, but I can't say that I know any words I can spell but not pronounce.
Ves may laugh at our grammar; I laugh at her small vocabulary.

I avoid the problem all together by mumbling and using spell check.

There are words that I can say but not spell, and spell but not say. Certain words that I use only in writing, and other that are only used in speech. Can't think of any at the moment, but I know where you're coming from.

Pronunciation question
Occasionally some words really get to me. I use them in my writing, and I turn around to use them in speech only to find I'm not sure how to say them. I seem to want to use "short-lived" a lot; it's probably the word that gets to me the most at the moment. Do any of you know whether it's pronounced with an "I" as in "hive" or an "i" as in "his"?Tags: None
