  • It's in development hell. If I ever do bring it back, I'm going to redo most of it anyway. Didn't realize Primal was really read all that much in the short time it was posted.

To be quite honest though, after Eternal is finished I probably won't be doing much writing in the foreseeable future. Just don't have the time for it like I used to.

    • God this place is so dead right now, it's kind of depressing.

So I've been doing some actual writing these last couple of weekends. Not on the contest of course, I'll get on that the last week of December...maybe.

I started this one just on a whim but it's coming along pretty well so far. The basic plot is that there's this planet that was terraformed ages ago, but due to a war Earth is only just now getting around to sending colonists to it. Naturally things go horribly wrong, and as either a mercenary, scientist, or regular colonist with a family you have to try and keep as many people alive as possible.

      • Do you have a link?

Enjoyed your "dark room" link, btw. Ended up "lingering" for a long time, trying to bulk the ship up as much as possible, which was sort of a letdown, considering - fun game, though.

        • Nothing to link yet, I'm writing it in Twine and wanting to finish at least one of the main paths before I transfer it to the site.

And agreed that the ending of that game was probably the weakest part. I guess the implication is that you just find another planet and do the whole thing over again because that's what wanderers do...the game stating that a bit more explicitly would have been nice, though.

Of course. We wouldn't want anyone around here breaking tradition. Admittedly, I usually at least have a vague idea or concept that I'm going to be using... not so much this time around. We'll see what happens.

Push come to shove, I think I could recycle my old 'true infinite story' idea...

And it's embarrassing when you make any noise at all.

            • Comedy option: the main character is a dragon and every single choice is 'a thing annoys you. do you eat it or set it on fire? or set it on fire and then eat it?'

Except I think there's already one of those Choice Of games that's basically exactly that.

              • Guys.

I'm going to win this contest.

Seriously, my story is (going to be) amazing.

                • Eternal: 100% Completed

656 pages on Word for this final path alone, and holy shit that was a lot of writing.

Will be posted at some point in the near future.

                  • Man, as soon as this contest is done with I'm heading over to CYS to scribble up a modern adventure, I'm a whore for attention and that empty space on the storygames page is just taunting me.

                    • Updated my journal...

                      Suzy's Strange Saga: 10% Completed

107 pages, 3 epilogues (with one more soon to be completed) and one major branch almost completed.

Just a little project I work on when I have the time.

                      • Touching up Ducky Park and contemplating a sequel.

                        What is Suzy about, End?

The organ is grinding but the monkey won't dance.

It's going to involve the day by day event filled week involving the protagonist from the Good Girl story, but it's also going to be a sequel to:

                            Tales From The Basement
                            Repression
                            TRASH
                            Love SICK
                            Geek

as well as a prequel to Ground Zero.

Basically I'm finally getting around to tying all those together. Some of those might be given a little more attention than others, but most of the characters from all those stories are going to be in this one in some way.

As for Suzy herself, I basically took one of her endings from Good Girl and made it "canon" for this and then went on to add a passage of time since that story.

I need details, please. There's a dearth of kitten-oriented literature in my collection, and I have to admit I would be embarrassed if anyone brought it up.

Well you see, they start off doing various adorable things, but then they get chosen to go on a quest to rescue a fairy. It's an epic magical but heartwarming adventure that takes them from kittenhood to cathood.

I'm going to name the villain Bat Cuntery. Locke, would you like to be the fairy queen?
