Are There Any Completed Stories?

Are there any completed stories that are at least long term and don't suck? If so then name a few please, because all I've seen are a bunch of three minute stories that aren't even finished and some unfinished porn... but I guess most of us can agree that unfinished porn is better than unfinished crap. lol




(Yeah I'm trying to develop the kind of sense of humor that I'm seeing a lot of.)

Not bad so far. You've got potential! Hmm, anything by Endmaster is good, particularly Necromancer/Death's Song, Ground Zero, and Legend. Legend incorporates a gaming element, though it's optional, as does Funkymango's "The Black Citadel."

"Paco Valdez" by DEP is a western; if you like those, read it. DEP has other decent stories, but most are far from complete.

"Another Monday Morning" (ncpolice) and "Final Quest" (cat2000) on the main page and "Knock at the Door" (thekoolaidguy) are very long, though they came about long before my time and I haven't really explored them for quality; other stories by Cat2000 may be worth reading as well.

Some sections of the Hall of Infinite Doors are indeed worth reading, most near the beginning or pointed out in the Iron Door. Though some effort has occasionally been made to construct a plot nearer the end of the Hallway, most of the later rooms are filler. They'll get to you if you ever take the HOID Challenge.

Vesnicie's "Country From Hell," which won the latest tournament, makes for good reading as is and has serious potential, though it's unfinished. Usoki's Rentyre is decent, but short. It seemed like a sort of "pilot" for a longer and more involved story we haven't seen as yet.

"Visual Epic" by Morathi and several stories by Lucid are sometimes cited as good stories, though I haven't read them.

Those are the ones I can think of offhand. There are likely others, but you do have to sift through them; this list should get you started, though. Of course, if you find a good story that needs more rooms, you can usually add to it, and if you ever feel you've read all the good stories, by all means, start a new one!

I'll probably be putting Legend on private to add more stuff to it sometime in the near future. I meant to get around to it before the New Year, but I got lazy.

Anything by EndMaster is finished.

Paco Valdez, while lengthy; is not finished. You may reach some endings, but it's not completed on every path.

Ducky Park and Reunion are both finished as well.

And Crack Attack is also finished.

There are actually quite a number of decent stories on the site, but most remain forever unfinished.

EndMaster is the only one I know of who consistently finishes his stories. Something that garners him a lot of respect with all of us here.

And please leave comments. They are appreciated, even if they are negative (I've made plenty of those).

Really? You so need to give me more feedback to explain this. I am, after all, a feedback whore. You can't just say a half-criticism complement and leave me hanging. I wanna know why it is you think that- it can only get better.

But...yeah, Rentyre's a solid Sci-Fi. If you're going to read something by me, read that one. Because, quite frankly, everything else of mine that's public is fairly crappy.

Read End's Necromancer. I can't beat you over the head with that statement enough. And, any name you see frequently in the forum is a good choice for stories. They may not alwasy be finished, but what you see is of a very good quality. KatieWroteIt in particular has amazing work.
