  • Oh no, tell me THIS GUY didn't just show up!

Hi all! I'm JJJ-thebanisher and I come to your nobel site with great humility. I was once a member of the site "chooseyourstory.com", you may have heard of them. I've decided that I'd come test the waters over here. (I'm assuming that the picture at the top of the screen is indeed water )

    Anyways, I'd like to point out that I cleverly, almost deviously stole this title from Donteatpoop. Hope to meet a great bunch of people;

sincerely (or yours truly, depending on how you feel)
    JJJ

On here for less than a few hours and already plagerizing my thread titles. Geez. Must be a cys thing.

Kidding, kidding. Welcome to infinite-story, let us know if you have any questions. As I'm sure you'll see, the story creation system is very simplistic and very effective. No added thrills like the items thing on Cys, but I prefer the stories that don't use them anyway.

The forums aren't quite as active over here, so don't be too sad that there aren't a bunch of immediate posts.

A few tips: people talking about 'rooms' are talking about how many pages your story is. your stories won't show up unless there are 20 rooms or more.

Wussup, JJJ? I'm sure I don't have to explain to you who I am.

Wow, this is like a foreign exchange program.

You know I never did know what the hell that stuff is in our logo. I always thought it might be some sort of alien landscape.

(Quotes some shit JJJ said about the logo being waterlike.)

I think JJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJJ is right, it's supposed to be water. I remember an old forum thread where severenz was testing out the logo and NCPolice8675309 commented on his admiration of the liquid graphics in the logo.

Now’s the time to plug your stories gang!

Anyway, actual story "games" aren’t as common here, but the ones that are on here tend to be pretty “epic” (Sometimes literally)

Black Citadel and The Desert Tombs of the Lizard Kings by FunkyMango

              Visual Epic by Morathi

              Final Quest by Cat2000

Those all have some dice rolling, stats, and they’re ALL finished. (Not sure about Lizard Kings, he was still working on it last time I read through it)

Now I shall also humbly direct you in the direction of “Saga”. It used to be called Legend, but I finally changed the name. Some of the paths in it are finished, but some aren’t. Even incomplete though, it’s still pretty long.

I’ll also mention Ground Zero. (Which I was currently in process of putting on CYS)

It doesn’t have stats or anything like that, but it is very game like in nature. There’s even “4 Major endings” You’ll know if you got one, because you’ll get an Epilogue. (There’s also one unofficial Major ending as well)

Go to the main page of the site and hit TOP RATED (it's right above the 5 random stories). TOP RATED is pretty accurate, really. Just pay attention to how many people rated it, because if only one or two people rated it, it's probably not that accurate.

Ground Zero is pretty solid, like EndMaster said. I've had one ending with an epilogue and the secret super-special ending.

You may also want to check here.

The rating system unfortunately isn’t “updating” the numbers like it should right now though. Dunno when it’s going to be fixed. So the overall scores may be slightly off.

But you can still always check the exact ratings of a story though with the “View ratings” link.

Just in case anyone cares, Ive really made the switch. I deleted my 36 games over in CYS. I wanted to start anew. I will definintly check those games out, thank you for your great advice.

36? Holy shit, that's what we call setting a blazing inferno to your bridges!

I sure hope you end up liking it here!

lol well if I dont, I dont eh. At this point it doesn't matter that much. Im just curious how long it takes them to realise.

There have been approximately 40,000 forum posts on that site and I had 10,000 of em. So I had 25% of posts and like 10% of stories. Thats a pretty serious loss over something they just couldn't seem to take seriously. (I also had the most points on the site with 3600 but that only works out to like 2.8% of em)

I mean one guy got off with nothing and the other with a measley 100 points....

I bet you still don't have a story up on here yet. For shame, for shame.
