Joe doesn't notice; his thoughts ended at "holy shit" and his one-track mind is now focused completely on the remarkable sensations afforded by his bowl of food: the aroma of pepper and chicken, the taste of smooth coconut milk complementing the textures of rice and onion, the sight of all those exquisitely presented reds and greens and the pleasant Thai burn that warms his mouth and stomach. Frank begins his morning yoga in an attempt to clear his mind; his thoughts are still very much with Fritz, his poor cat, and the years they shared.
