Another analogy could be calling the Infinite Council a bunch of “Write Supremacists” who don’t want any of this decadent game mixing that dilutes the purity of writing on this site.

It's all a CYSionst conspiracy anyway.

      <insert sound of infant crying>

      I SAID I'm sorry!

Lighten up, SirOwnYou. The fact that you're getting this many responses should be a good indicator that it wasn't a half bad proposal. Any discussion around here can get a little heated, just don't take things personal.

I have no idea who you are, but I'm sure you are one of the brightest stars in the sky.

The term 'newbie' was not meant as an insult.

My post was more tongue in cheek than anything. Mmmk?

      Mmmk.

So guys, what about my proposal?
A non linear game, but somewhat structured with rules (another player can't play the character of the first without the first player's consent).
You will have the freedom of fantasy creatures with powers, without that pesky 12 sided die.
Just don't mess around with porn (M rated) when the character wouldn't allow himself or herself to do it (must have significant motivation for personality change).

This is not an extension of Dungeons and Dragons, but it will be similar (alternate paths and sub alternate paths lead to character on first path).

By the way, I make an exception for some fictional fantasy creatures when it comes to child sexuallity.
I will not add it if real or fictional human characters.

Well, you haven't changed much. DEP has a story called Arena that's somewhat similar to what you're suggesting. It might get more interested if you began the story yourself, or at least posted the first room to the forums so we can get a better feel for what it's like.

The trouble is it's not really my game.
I would tell the author where to post it, if I knew ahead of time there is some interest in it.

By the way, I picked a bird woman/angel/goddess (has no nipples) called a Xorn or Zorn as mortals would say (address her in the formal as Crystal Zorn).

I didn't say child sexuality (notice I didn't say child sex) would be in it, just an option I would take if the game calls for it.
Children get horny just as much as adults, they just don't show it, because they don't know what it is.
This comes from a man who's seen alot of cleavage and partial breasts as a child.
Women just love to bend down with open blouses.

I guess I can do this after all since he thinks it's not sexual enough.

So basically what "DEP" as you call him, is saying that it would be so new and different that everybody would use it instead of using any of the real stuff and that would make all of it more like a game...? I think

Whatever thanks for the support, comments, criticisim, ect...

I'm gonna go write a story and you'll probably see it in a couple weeks

Thanks for breaking down the analogy, Locke.

Mr. OwnU, like I said earlier; it's good to see a new member offering a decent suggestion. This really isn't a bad idea, it's just one that I don't agree with. If you are interested in directing readers to an external source for randomization, here is a google search of "dice roller" that could come in handy for you.

On a side note, your "friendly" suggestion was followed up by hints of inflammatory speech when you said "Clearly you don't understand..." the word "clearly" tends to ruffle feathers. I mention this only to say that the next time you want to whine about how others are speaking to you, you should first look to how you are speaking to them.

That's exactly what I was saying, and I've seen it happen on other sites.

*sigh* I'm gone for a few days for Christmas, and this is what I get when I come back? Curses.

drums? No one cares. Few people around here are collaboration happy, and you've managed to piss off those very few who are willing. Maybe you can sucker Apoth into it. But if not? Stop mentioning it. If we're willing to contribute, we will. Otherwise, shut up and do it yourself. Don't tell us how great it will be- show us a finished product. Perferably something other than a descriptionless maze.

And, Sou? (Your new name, SirOwnU). I can see why you'd want to put in a randomizer...but as they've said, either make the user roll dice, or tweak your story to take out that random element and give the reader a choice with unexpected consequences or something.

Personally, if Sev is going to implement a variable feature, I'd rather he put in a "Yes/No" variable. The story I hope to work on next has eight endings, based on how well you do in its three parts. So, as it stands, I will have to duplicate the second part two times based on whether the reader wins or loses the first part, and I will have to duplicate the third part four times based one whether or not the reader WLs, LWs, LLs, or WWs.

But, again- it's easy to work around. Most people aren't going to even bother with something like that. It's just something else to get confused as to how it works. Half of the new people around here can't even figure out room linking until they've screwed it up a few times.

                      Usoka, FUCK YOU!
It was just a suggestion, one I am excited about and what I joined for in the first place, and you down all my hopes and desires within one night!
I had just finished working on rules, one room, and even the fictional society, and this is what I get?

I didn't even get an answer from everyone, just your stupid post assuming you speak for everyone.
Guess what, you aren't king of the world and you speak for nobody but yourself, SO FUCK OFF!

Did you become a furry on top of being a pedophile?

This is true. I speak only for myself. I am merely assuming what anyone else would do. Rudely, perhaps- but it's what I do when I get impatient and annoyed. You've tried this several times, as I recall, and you get the same reaction every time- indifference/disgust.

My assumptions of everyone else's reactions is based on what I've seen from everyone else. Most people here are lucky to spend time on their own projects, let alone somebody else's project. I have only seen one collab get off the ground- Apoth's HOID. And that is because HOID has no central plotline- people write what they want when they want to. Even then, most of HOID's content consists of empty doors. Several others, including myself, have tried a collab before or after HOID- they've failed.

Your collab would make people follow your rules. And, I might point out that few people here have EVER written erotic on the site. So half of your choices are going to be more or less ignored from the start. And, quite frankly, few of us have any respect for you, if you haven't noticed. Members to try and ask? Calen might, Thoric and Locke might not hate you yet, and perhaps Sou will help you as his first IS project.

But, honestly? Try a different website. CYS, perhaps. Because, let's face it. To all of us IS regulars- you're the child robot sex guy who wrote that ridiculous maze story and then tried to get us all to stop cussing because children could possibly visit this site but whose campaign was hindered by placing his thoughts of adult material in his sig. If you've changed as a person- we're not going to notice.

By all means, take your idea as far as you can. Write it yourself, or visit other websites with people who don't know you. But, as far as I can guess from their previous actions, most of the people here are not about to assist you in writing your collab. Maybe they'll prove me wrong. But I'd have to see it to believe it.

Drums would probably really like it at CYS, they just had a 9 year old join the site.

Yeah... romance/erotica - not my thing. Besides, I'd rather put up something decent of my own first before trying a collab.
