We're at like 14 rooms (I think) and close to 10,000 words. Sadly, I haven't heard from Cat2000 or Locke in a long-assed time. Cat came up with most of the initial plot, and Locke did add a pretty sweet room, but that was the last I heard from them.
Whatever the case, it should be easy from here to make the deadline and avoid SHAME.

Not much by way of internet where I'm at. Hiking/backpacking etc through early August (university town is terminally boring), but I'll be back for the last semester around the 15-20th.
Sweet. I'll try to hold down the fort until then, but there's no garuntees as to how much I'll get done. I'm taking a summer class and I'll probably be doing full-time here shortly.
...I don't mind the occasional spam, even have fun with some of it. This renders the forums unusable, though (on an unrelated note, I wonder why the bot left this subforum alone, or how whoever authored it expects it ever to sell anything).
I guess we can just let it have the other subforums and keep the action here till Sev stops by
I think Sev made it so nobody but him can make new threads in this sub-forum (After Apoth managed to create a new one) so I'm guessing not even the bot can bypass the lockdown on it.

It's cool guys, we can just pretend the site's gone post-apocalyptic. Here we are, huddling in this old thread in a subforum that represents the last vestige of civilization and safety, while a marauding spambot wreaks havoc on the rest of the forum. One day the spambot will be gone and it will be safe to come out again. One day.
...oh and to top it off I can't log into the main site again. That represents the, uh, the electricity going out! Yeah! Don't worry though, we can still work on our stories here in the subforum. By candlelight. This is fun! ....yeah.
Nice scenario, I like it. Sucks about the main site AGAIN.
This contest story is probably going to be my last story for awhile anyway. Just not enough time to do proper completed stories anymore and I don't like the trend I'm falling into with submitting uncompleted stuff. Granted if I probably set my sights lower in scope as far as size and shortened the writing I'd probably finish more stories, but eh I can't do it like that. (Besides I do that a little bit anyway and I still wind up with a shitload of writing per page.)
One day though AFTER I finally finish Primal AND Innkeeper (hope hope!) I'll start a new story. (Which will probably also take forever to finish)
EDIT: The main site seems to be working now, or at least it's working for me.
I tried clearing everything, but no dice. I was able to sort of log in a couple of times, but when I try to actually go to my stories I get an error.
Same thing with Explorer and Opera....so, I dunno. It's not that big a deal though, I can just keep saving to Notepad for now and meanwhile it's got a month to magically fix itself.
So... did you ever decide on a new deadline, End? It looks to me like I'll have to finish what I can of our story sometime over Christmas Break, but (as always) I'm in favor of a lengthy extension.
Yeah I guess the new deadline can be what it was last year, January 16th.
This spambot is getting really ridiculous, the rest of the forums have 1 full page of spam now, except for the off topic forum which has nearly 4 pages of spam.
At this point the post apocalyptic scenario is looking less like The Terminator and more like The Matrix.
