Why is the relative newcomer telling us (some of us who have been here since 2002, like me) to get out and leave him here? That seems rather backwards to me. If you go into someone else's house and find the place uncomfortable and intolerable for you, do you immediately tell them to leave let you have the place? No, you leave and don't go back to associate with them again.

The only reason to anything else is if you actually secretly like the place and the people and either want to be miserable and have an excuse for it, or you actually enjoy the abuse and don't want them to know you secret shame. I am guessing he is a miserable person and feels they deserve this poor treatment, so they keep poking the dog in hopes it will bite them again and give them more reason to feel miserable.

Unless they are a total sociopath who actually derives pleasure from causing pain in others, but he seems far to bad at it for that to the be the truth.
