Is the person who sent me the slander notice really miffed?

I thought we all played nicely here?

If it's really an issue, I can delete it. If you are just having a hyper-sensitive day, then let's let it go and save the censorship for the spam bots.

Megaman: The word you're looking for is "libel", or perhaps "defamation" m'boy. Not that I'm fussy about the correct use of words, myself, but there you go.

Severenz: He is always like this.

          concerning those kidney stones...
They're still not entirely sure what caused them. Too much soda seemed likely for the first one, but the second one was only three months later. So...who knows? I did find out what minerals they were made from. They made me collect the gravel by pissing through a collapsable strainer that looked oddly like a telescope.

They did say that dairy is a common scrapegoat. And, to be fair, it does cause some of them. If you go on a dairy overload (my dad got his by eating a ton of ice cream plus calcium suppliments) your body doesn't entirely know what to do with it, and bam! kidney stone. But if you suddenly cut dairy off entirely, your body will go nuts and store any bit of calcium it can find, and you'll still wind up with a stone.

As far as logistics... mine were 9mm and 6mm. Both of them were too big to be passed naturally- I was told that usually only happens with 4mm or smaller. When they're too large, they use a surgery called Lithotripsy, which is scientic wording for "let's blast it apart with sound". Once that's over, you're pissing gravel for a few days, and then it's done.

The pain only happens when the stone is physically blocking fluid flow in the kidney, which is why the pain is very sporatic. If the stone rotates enough to let fluid through, you'll be relatively painless until it rotates into a block again. I mistook my second for back pain until I pissed blood. (Then it gave me that unmistakable kidney stone pain while I was in denial.)

I'm not entirely convinced that they're as painful as childbirth. Maybe if you had to pass it all the way through. I will say that it is a constant, horrid pain that doesn't lose intensity. It's also very focused, like a spearpoint. And when the pain lasts long enough, it will make you throw up. What really drives you insane is that you can't do anything to aleviate it. Stretching, massages, heat pads... they don't help at all. When you're experiencing kidney stone pain, you can't focus on anything but the pain, and there's nothing you can do about it. I could barely call my brother to pick me up, and walk to his car so he could take me to the hospital. You don't want to do anything but cry about the pain.

The meds are excellent, though. I don't really remember anything about the weekend of my 9mm. I don't even remember sleeping, though I know I'd've had to've slept. I think I spent most of it in front of the TV, but I don't really remember, because I have no memory of watching any shows- I think I just sort of stared blankly at it without actually focusing on it. I do remember one period of restlessness, where I was bored, and I wanted to get off of the couch and move around and do something... but I didn't actually want to do anything, and I didn't want to exert any effort. That was a weird feeling- I existed, but I really didn't want to be conscious of it so that I could stop being bored.

When my appendix was inflamed and encapsulated but hadn't ruptured, it hurt more than anything I had experienced x100. I was told that it was the equivalent of a bad kindey stone or child birth, which could both be 10's on the pain scale. I couldn't even classify what I felt as pain, it was something else entirely, until they put me on those godly pain meds. I now know why people get addicted to herion. Those opiates do really feel pretty amazing, and if your life is shitty, then you really have no excuse for not using narcotics. Just saying...

So Megaman has finally graduated from being a spamming retard to being a cry baby bitch that tattles on people. Good work!

If Sev still wants suggestions on deleting stuff though, I'm pretty sure everyone here would be in agreement to keep my picture and get rid of Megaman's spamming/trolling instead.

In fact Megaman pretty much qualifies as a spambot just without the intelligence, if we're going to start censoring/banning/deleting around here we can start with his account.

EDIT: Already sent a PM to Sev explaining what the hell Mega's problem is, but if Mega's REALLY interested in being a snitch bitch, here's a friendly reminder of just one of MANY threads where he's "threatening" everyone with his "l33t" hacking skills and his awesome physical might. (Love his claims of being a vigilante in this one!)

Usoki: Thanks for reaffirming how horrified I should be of those dreadful kidney stones. I eat lots of cereal, but I quit eating ice cream because it's basically like crack to me. If I start on a gallon Breyers I wont be done until the whole thing is finished. Can't be good for the old ticker either.

Apoth: Glad you didn't die. Close call, buckaroo.

I, myself, have had seziures in the past. But I got them under control. They were all in all pretty awful. I can't throw balls anymore without throwing my arms out. Not sure what I did to them, but it had something to do with the seizures.

After any seizure every muscle in my body hurt beyond belief, especially my arms and shoulders. Sometimes I would have migraines. This guy I worked with felt my arm when I was having the first seizure back in 2005 and said he had never felt anything so hard. Like touching a statue. And I'm definitely no body builder.

Kind of a shame. It was the day before my promotion at this company and I was about to get my own truck and route. A month later I quit the company because they refused to work with me or trust me with a truck and were pretty much just dicking me around.

And no, they (the seizures) had nothing to do with drug use. After the MRI (which cost me $1000) and the CT scan and the EKG and the consultation with a neurologist (another $400 out of pocket) all they could tell me was that I DIDN'T have any tumors or lesions (damage). All they could tell me is I had an 'over active right front tempral lobe' and throw some medication at me.

I read up on the medication and found out it could cause KIDNEY STONES! No thank you! I then went to a 'natural healing' doctor on a tip from my dear mother and actually had a great time.

He spent a whole lot of time with me, showed me my blood under a microscope - white blood cells attacking foreign objects, ect. (pretty fascinating) - then prescribed me this natural stuff called GABA, which the body produces naturally (neuro-transmitter regulator), and I've been fine.

Costs a lot less money than the pills the 'establishment' threw at me, too. My consultation with him was only about $100 and he spent a lot of time with me really explaining what was happening in my brain, body, ect.

Oh, and megman, please LEAVE. NOBODY LIKES YOU HERE.

                NOBODY.

It's not that we don't like you...

                WE HATE YOU...

                PERIOD.

Capiche? Go. Away. Please. Give us all our collective Christmas wish.

I'm sure you have plenty of friends in real life and a family that loves you. Go annoy THEM with your presence. It just isn't working out. It's not you, it's us.

                Well...no...its you.

                Thanks!

I don't have time to write a long description or explanation here (I am late getting to work as is), but I may later.

Short story, they don't know for sure why I have so many stones. I have passed all that have moved out of the kidneys so far, but some of them have been very painful... VERY painful.

About 10 years ago my appendix did rupture and nearly killed me. The pain was the most intense thing I ever experienced. I couldn't even stand or talk when they tool me to the hospital.

When I had my first kidney stone it felt like my appendix had grown back and was rupturing again... so yes, they can be extremely painful.

Well I'm glad you made it through the appendix thing. That is a VERY close call.

Stupid appendixes. They are the Megamans of internal organs. No use whatsoever.

EDIT: And Megaman I really don't hate you. But you do annoy me and I think both you and I and countless others would be happy if you just left and found greener pastures. I mean, it's just a stupid internet forum. So I have no cause to hate you.

That actually was a pretty amusing, epic thread. I'd forgotten about that one.
